*Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Need At Least 1.4 ATA To Be Effective
According to Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society guidelines, the pressure used in a clinical setting must be at least 1.4 ATA to be effective. (Our HBOT Cocoons® in the Philippines operate from 1.4ATA – 1.99ATA).
This is as stated in the 14th Edition 2019-Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Indications.
Based on research, Niza et al. found that using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at 1.4 ATA increases blood flow in small blood vessels in peripheral tissues by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which is stimulated by the high oxygen levels.
